Legal & Insurance Cases

We began (rather cautiously) to be involved in providing advice on legal actions and/or insurance claim cases about 11 years ago. Increasing experience in this area convinced us that this is in many ways the most interesting and challenging work for a consultant. Legal case work now accounts for around 30% of our workload annually.

More typical cases involve personal injury from trees falling onto roads, alleged damage to built structures from neighbouring trees, appraisal of damage to trees and valuation of loss of amenity, and tree-work accidents. We choose our cases carefully, but welcome enquiries regarding any reasonable claim or defence action. 

Cases investigation and reporting for legal cases demands a very objective and disciplined approach, an attention to deal, and the ability to write and communicate well. Depending on the case, we may provide a preliminary advisory report, or may proceed directly with a final expert report. We attend the high court and circuit courts and give evidence as expert witnesses several times a year.
